Welcome to Our Green Acre! Our farm is located in Northwest Arkansas near the Buffalo National River. This land has been in our family for more than a century. In 2011 we decided to begin farming using more sustainable and permaculture methods. The plan was put into action in 2012 and Our Green Acre was born.
Our fields & woodlands are home to Large Black pigs (a heritage breed), a variety of cattle and heritage chickens. Our gardens & greenhouses grow heirloom plants, which are pollinated by our bees. We harvest maple syrup from our woodlands each winter. We farm with very simplistic guidelines. The animals are given quality grass, fresh water, no hormones or antibiotics of any kind and plenty of room to roam. We keep things simple and let the animals grow at the pace nature intended.
Our Green Acre Farm goes to great lengths to provide quality food for our family and yours. We provide packaged meat, eggs, produce, maple syrup, honey and handmade soaps, sugar scrubs, lotion bars, herbal salves and lip balms.
We believe that preserving heritage breeds is a critical aspect of our farming and are members of the Livestock Conservancy. Want to learn more about heritage breeds? Visit the Livestock Conservancy for more information.
